Work Glove Care: Inspection, Cleaning and Replacement
Work gloves need regular attention. A quick inspection before use can help identify worn palms, damaged seams, contamination or loss of grip before the glove becomes unsuitable for the task.
Before each shift
- Check the palm and fingertips for wear or cuts.
- Look for loose seams, tears or damaged cuffs.
- Make sure the glove is dry, clean and free from substances that could affect grip.
When to replace a glove
Replace gloves when the material is visibly damaged, grip has deteriorated, contamination cannot be removed, or the fit no longer supports safe work. Use the care instructions supplied for the specific product and task.
